This project is about the interior renovation of a three floor building that consists of a garage space in the basement, an office in the ground floor, two apartments in the first and second floor and at the top a small residence.
The idea for this project was to transform the interior of each floor without changing the window frames and therefore the exterior facades of the building. Only a small part of the back was transformed in order to create a semi-exterior space for the two main residential apartments.
In particular the two apartment residencies needed to have acess to all the interior spaces without the use of a corridor and instead a small entrance hall was designed that contains on its top all the interior ventilation and air condition systems. The rest of each apartment consists of one master bedroom, one bedroom, one big bathroom, one small, a kitchen unified with the living space and finally the exterior spaces on the front and back.
Each one of the two apartments are not designed the same. Their differences are based on the particularity of the existing window frames of the building.
