The project is about giving the public a new use of one of the most important and iconic buildings in the area of Vintsi at Paroikia.
The intervention in the exterior preserves, in part, the previous traditional architecture of the openings and the present masonry of the building, on which two different conservation techniques are presented. With the first technique (version A) a similar appearence to the present state is achieved by using an artificial white pocelain plaster, and with the second one (version B) the stones are repaired to return to their original state and the wall has a proper stone color.
Regarding the interior setup of the space intended to be a market place, the free plan that was suggested was that only the structural elements of the metallic construction that supports the new roof appear. The semifloor that covers half of the space and the staircase in the middle of the backround wall that leads to it are also connected to this structure.
